RNIB Senses Gala Evening
The RNIB Northern Ireland and Isle of Man supports children and adults with sight loss to live full and independent lives. With over 48,000 people in Northern Ireland affected by some form of sight loss their work is VITAL.
RNIB wanted to promote their work and to recognise the contribution of existing partners and develop new partners.
Aurora Events and Marketing worked with the team at RNIB to create an amazing event entitled Senses .... an evening of stimulation.
This prestigious event took place in the magnificent surroundings of Belfast City Hall and the audience had a wonderful evening.
Mark Simpson introduced the evening with the words "Imagine ... living in a world of darkness" ? Then the room was plunged into darkness and the audience experienced some of the sounds and fears that children and adults with sight loss hear on a day to day basis. The noise ended with a crescendo and then a spotlight hit the world renowned tenor MartinToal who opened with an outstanding rendition of the World in Union ........... and so the stage was set for what was a magical evening.
Richard Moore from Children in Crossfire, who was blinded by a rubber bullet at the age of 10, addressed the audience as the recently appointed Chairman of RNIB Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man and his inspiring story is one of huge achievement and forgiveness.
The evening was a great success and this was confirmed by the wonderful thank you we received from Charlie Mack the Director for RNIB Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.
"I can't thank you enough for you and your team's part in making last night's Senses event such a roaring success.
It was a very polished and professional evening. I was very proud of the standard set.
Aurora did an outstanding job."
